What does the total include?
Your quote shows the rental for your nights, the cleaning fee and Vermont taxes, all before you enter any contact details.
When is payment taken?
50% of the total is due when you reserve. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival.
What is the cancellation policy?
Prepayments are fully refundable if you cancel 31 or more days before arrival. Cancellations after that are not refunded.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A $250 pre-authorization is held on your card 1 day before arrival and released 5 days after departure.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, 2 nights.
How do I check in?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM with the smart lock and your own door code. Arrival details are sent 2 days before your stay. Earlier check-in can be available only upon request with confirmation. Your door code will activate according to your check-in time. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
What do we need to do at check-out?
Just the basics: load the dishwasher, leave used towels in the tub, and leave the beds as-is. If you used the outdoor amenities, we ask that you put the outdoor furniture back if moved and cover it, turn off the grill and patio heater and close the propane valve, and lastly just check and lock the doors and windows.
Are pets or smoking allowed?
No. Pets of any kind are not allowed and there is no smoking inside; either can mean a fee. Children are welcome.
What are the house rules?
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no parties or events. Shoes come off inside. Turn the living room fireplace off before bed or when you head out, and let us know if anything breaks.
Can we use the fire pit?
Yes. The Solo Stove fire pit is yours to use, except during seasonal burn bans. Firewood is sold at the small Shaw's down the road, and the string lights switch off on their own at 11:00 PM.
Are there extra sleeping spots?
The basement sofa converts to a queen bed, and all bedding is provided.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free driveway parking for 3 to 4 cars, plus storage at the entry for skis and gear.
Is it good for remote work?
Yes. 1 Gbps Wi-Fi throughout the house and a dedicated workspace.
Who are the hosts?
Alex and Hunter, who renovated the house themselves. A local co-host is on hand if anything comes up during your stay.
